Australia to North America
Selling to the US and Canada from Australia.
We book meetings between your team and US or Canadian buyers, distributors and channel partners, so you can test demand before you hire in North America or set up an entity there.
Our callers phone and email North American buyers during their working day, and the meetings land in your Australian morning.
Pick one market and one buyer first
The US is not one market, and Canada is not a smaller copy of it. Illustrations, not clients: a Melbourne software company might start with mid-sized logistics firms in Texas, while a South Australian food producer would start with importers and distributors rather than retailers. Name the first segment and the question the first meetings should answer.
Bring what a North American buyer will ask about: pricing in USD or CAD, lead times across the Pacific, local support and any certification your category needs. Meetings go better when your team can answer those on the call.
Buyers, distributors or a trade show
Direct buyers suit software and services. Distributors and dealers suit physical products that need local stock, service and relationships, so the brief names the territory, the category and the lines a partner already carries. A list of importer names is research, not interest.
If you are flying over for a US trade show, send the event and your travel dates and we can book meetings with relevant buyers around it. After the flight across the Pacific, every day on the ground should count.
Time zones without the mental arithmetic
In the southern summer, 2 pm on a Tuesday in Los Angeles and 5 pm in New York are both 9 am on Wednesday in Sydney. In June, 4 pm in Los Angeles and 7 pm in New York meet 9 am in Sydney. Perth sits three hours behind Sydney in summer, so a Perth team has a narrower overlap.
Each handover gives the meeting in both time zones and both dates, because the North American date is usually a day behind yours. Who sends reminders and who confirms attendance is agreed before the first meeting.
Where Austrade fits
Austrade runs the Landing Pads program for tech scale-ups, with the United States among its markets. Its Export Market Development Grants support export marketing by Australian small and medium businesses, although Austrade listed no grant round open on 4 October 2026.
Those programs help you prepare and connect; we book the buyer meetings. We have no partnership with Austrade and make no claim that our fees qualify for a grant, so check eligibility with Austrade directly.

Happier to write than book?
Tell us what you sell, which US or Canadian buyers you want and when your team can take calls. We will reply by email with the next step.
What each option costs.
USD is the currency of every Vivin agreement. Your written quote sets out the buyer profile, the qualification tests and every fee before any outreach starts.
Australian pricing, with an AUD guideQuestions, answered plainly.
If your question is not here, bring it to the call.
How do I find distributors in the USA for an Australian product?
Start with the category and territory, then decide the partner type: importer, distributor, dealer or manufacturer’s rep. We research partners already selling to your buyers and book introductory meetings with those willing to talk. Our distributor meetings page has more.
Should we target the US or Canada first?
Whichever gives your offer the clearer path to a first sale. We can scope either market, or one followed by the other, each as its own brief.
Do we need a US company or US staff before you start?
No. Outreach and meetings can start before either. Entities, visas, tax and employment are questions for your own advisers.
What time will the meetings be in Australia?
Usually your morning. In November, 9 am on Wednesday in Sydney is 2 pm on Tuesday in Los Angeles and 5 pm on Tuesday in New York.
Can you set meetings around a US trade show?
Yes. Send the show, your dates and the kind of buyers you want to see, and we book meetings around the event.
Are prices different for North American buyers?
The ranges are the same: USD $15 to $500 per accepted lead and USD $100 to $500 per attended appointment, with your rate set in the quote. Pay per close is 5% to 20% of attributed contract value plus USD $497/month.
